This week we meet social innovator, Valarie Labi at the iDE-International Development Enterprises offices in the heart of Accra’s innovation hub in Osu. Valarie is the iDE Country Director and founder of Sama Sama, a social enterprise catalysing sanitation and hygiene markets by integrating the entire sanitation value chain and with the aim of providing toilets to more than 300,000 people by the end of this year. Among her other hats is rather a crown, she is the Queen Mother of Sanitation, and she was also among the inaugural class of young African Leaders taking part in the Mandela Washington Fellowship.
